Wesley Campus Ministry
Southeastern Oklahoma State University
I was appointed by the Bishop to serve as College Director for one of eight campus ministries in The Oklahoma Annual Conference. I overhauled the board of directors, cut costs, raised funds, and implemented a plan to get out of debt. I rebranded the ministry to focus on the needs of students, providing a safe place for students to grow in their faith, and grow the ministry.
Over the next three years, following my strategic plan, the ministry gained momentum and grew exponentially in every area. Students began coming to all the new programming, the board became stronger, and the ministry became debt-free and fully funded. The connection with the University opened the doors for us to reach the Athletic Department, the Native American Student Association, and Student Union, contributing to a healthy and growing Campus ministry.

Youth Director
October 2012 - June 2019
First United Methodist Church - Durant, Ok
I was responsible for the vision, direction, planning, and programming for all High School and Middle School students in the third largest Church in the Lake Country District of the Oklahoma United Methodist Conference. My main responsibility was to foster relationships with students and parents and implement a discipleship plan for students to invite their friends, grow in their faith — then be sent out to serve in the church and the community.
While serving for seven years in this role, the ministry grew from 8 students to an average of 70. This explosion of growth came from the many creative ways I used that reached students, from the promotional materials and designs to the Sunday Night Worship, Bible Studies, Sunday school, and after-school programs, to outreach events, missions, camps, and the many intentional activity events.
I implemented an after-school ministry at four different churches. Designed to reach the surrounding areas and then bring everyone together for our Sunday Night Youth Worship Services, these after-school programs served to connect with students and parents, provide a time of Biblical teaching, then connected them back to a larger community of believers for worship and community. I developed teams of core leaders from parents, other churches, and our congregation to help as the ministry continued to grow.
Key Highlights:
• Convinced Churches to Work Together
• Started & Led 4 After-school Programs
• Wrote and Received Grant for Youth
